India fast bowler Arshdeep Singh appears to have cleaned up his Instagram profile after facing heavy criticism online over recent viral videos and social media activity. The move came during a difficult phase for both the player and his IPL franchise, Punjab Kings.

Fans noticed a sharp drop in the number of posts on Arshdeep’s Instagram account over the last day. His profile now shows only a limited number of uploads, mostly linked to brand campaigns and promotional partnerships. Earlier personal posts and casual content no longer appear on the page.

The sudden social media reset followed growing controversy around two viral clips that spread widely across online platforms.

One video sparked strong reactions after it allegedly showed Arshdeep making a racial remark while speaking to Tilak Varma during an informal recording. The clip circulated quickly among cricket fans and triggered criticism across social media. Several users questioned the language used in the exchange, while others demanded clarification from the player.

Another video added to the attention surrounding the pacer. In that clip, fellow Punjab Kings spinner Yuzvendra Chahal allegedly appeared using an e-cigarette during a behind-the-scenes vlog linked to Arshdeep’s account. The footage also went viral and fuelled wider discussions around player conduct and online content shared by athletes.

As the clips gained traction, trolling against Arshdeep intensified across platforms. Cricket pages, fan groups, and online commentators continued debating the issue for several days. Many users criticised the cricketer’s social media judgement, while some supporters urged people not to overreact to short video snippets.

At present, one of the few noticeable personal posts left on his profile carries the caption “Sabar. Shukar. Punjab,” a phrase that translates to patience and gratitude. Fans interpreted the message in different ways, with some seeing it as a response to the criticism and others linking it to Punjab Kings’ disappointing IPL campaign.

The timing of the online controversy has added to the frustration surrounding Punjab’s season. The franchise started the tournament strongly and looked set for a comfortable place in the playoffs. The team built momentum with a long winning streak and impressed fans with aggressive performances in the first half of the competition.

However, results slipped badly in the closing stage of the league. Punjab lost control over its playoff hopes after a string of setbacks. Eventually, Rajasthan Royals secured the final knockout position and ended Punjab’s campaign.

On the ground, Punjab supporters expressed disappointment over the team’s collapse after such a promising run earlier in the season. Some fans outside stadiums and across online forums also discussed how off-field distractions increasingly shape modern cricket narratives.

For Arshdeep Singh, the large-scale Instagram cleanup signals an attempt to reduce noise around his online presence and shift focus back toward cricket. Still, the incident once again showed how quickly digital controversies can dominate headlines and affect public perception in today’s sports culture.
