Ed Sheeran will electrify Chennai tonight as part of his six-city India tour. He started in Pune last week and has already thrilled fans in Hyderabad. Now, Chennai gears up for a special surprise—AR Rahman will join him on stage for an unexpected act.

Before the concert, Sheeran met AR Rahman and his son, AR Ameen. They shared a heartwarming moment, posting pictures online. One photo shows them posing together, with Sheeran and Ameen twinning in black. Another captures Sheeran filming Rahman as he plays his console. Rahman simply tagged Sheeran and added red heart emojis.

Fans flooded the comment section with excitement. One wrote, “Going to frame this for my bedroom.” Another asked, “Is a new song coming? Out of syllabus. Waiting!”

Before his performance, Sheeran fully embraced Chennai’s culture. A viral video shows him enjoying a head massage, smiling throughout. In another clip, he sings “Perfect” with a Chennai choir, calling it an amazing experience.

Sheeran began his India tour in Pune on January 30 with a mesmerizing performance. Singer-actor Dot., known from The Archies, opened the show. He then rocked Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, on February 2, where Armaan Malik kicked off the event.
