Five Arunachli men ‘abducted’ by China’s PLA
Itanagar, September 5 (HS) Five persons belonging to Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh were reportedly ‘abducted’ by China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA). The incident happened at a time when tension is brewing between India and China.
As per sources, all five persons belonging to the Tagin community were abducted from the jungle near Nacho village near Indian China border while they were out hunting on Friday last.
The abducted villagers had been identified as Toch Singkam, Prasat Ringling, Dongtu Ebiya, Tanu Baker and Ngaru Diri.Two other villagers who accompanied them managed to escape and narrated the incident before the villagers and their relatives. However, the relatives have not yet made any communication with the Indian Army regarding the incident.
The victims’ relatives were trying to communicate with the concerned authorityies and also the Indian army of the area.
No further information had been received from the army officials and the district administration at the time of filing this report.
