PM Modi, Sundar Pichai discuss Covid-19 crisis, technology and more
New Delhi, July 13 (HS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday interacted with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Google Sundar Pichai and discussed at length about the new work culture emerging in the time of Corona pandemic.
In a series of tweets, PM Modi said, “This morning, had an extremely fruitful interaction with @sundarpichai . We spoke on a wide range of subjects, particularly leveraging the power of technology to transform the lives of India’s farmers, youngsters and entrepreneurs.”
He further said, “During our interaction, @sundarpichai and I spoke about the new work culture that is emerging in the times of COVID-19. We discussed the challenges the global pandemic has brought to areas such as sports. We also talked about the importance of data security and cyber safety.”
In another tweet, PM said, “I was delighted to know more about the efforts of @Google in several sectors, be it in education, learning, @_DigitalIndia, furthering digital payments and more. @sundarpichai.”
Google is set to host the sixth edition of Google for India event in India. The event, which will be held virtually this year, will witness Alphabet Inc CEO Sundar Pichai presenting a special keynote address.
