Two truck loads of foreign liquor seized
Chapra/ Gopalganj,11 June(HS): Gopalganj police seized two truck loads of foreign liquor and arrested three smugglers in this connection. This cache was being brought from Punjab via Guwahati on fake papers.
SP Rashid Zama told that police had got the tip off of this smuggling and Kuchaikot SHO Ritesh Singh with force checked the vehicles at Balthari check post and found the trucks carrying cartons of liquor.
Around 495 cartons were seized from another truck.Altogether 232,700 bottles were seized.which amounted to be valued at one crore. He said that three smugglers have been arrested and police are interrogating the inter state connection of the smugglers.
