Maharashtra CM launches 23 plasma therapy centres in state
Mumbai, June 29, (HS) The Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray launched plasma therapy facility in 23 hospitals of the state, though video conferencing. He appealed the people who recovered from Covid-19 to give their plasma.
While addressing the media he said that the first plasma therapy test was done in April wherein nine out of ten patients recovered. He added that currently no vaccine or treatment is available especially for Covid-19 and so plasma therapy is proving to be beneficial for Covid-19 treatment. He appealed officials to use this therapy to cure maximum people possible. He said that officials should collect maximum plasma from people so as to be used for Corona patients in future.
On this occasion Health Minister Rajesh Tope, Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat, Minister for Water Resources Jayant Patil and Industrial Minister Subhash Desai were present.
