Lockdown in State’s Containment Zones till June 30
Ranchii, June 25 (HS) As per a notification issued by Jharkhand government on Thursday, in exercise of the powers under section 6 (2) (i) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, National Disaster Management Authority has directed the Union Home Secretary to issue an order to extend the lockdown in Containment Zones upto June 30.
It has asked to re-open prohibited activities in a phased manner in areas outside Containment Zones and iexercise of the powers, conferred under Section 10 (2) (I) of the Disaster Management Act 2005. The Union Home Secretary and Chairman, National Executive Committee has issued an order dated May 30, which would remain in force upto June 30.
It is to be noted that an order of May 30 allows online sale of essential and non-essential items by e-commerce outside containment zones. Stadium and sports complex are allowed for players’ practice or activities without spectators. Walking, jogging, running and exercise in open spaces are also given permission.
