Another Covid-19 death in Ballari

Ballari, June 25 (HS) Covid-19 fatalities are constantly increasing in Ballari. After a death reported on Wednesday the death toll in the district reached eight.

S.S. Nakul, Deputy Commissioner of Ballari said that a 73-year-old man, resident of Katinakamba village in Sandur taluk succumbed to Covid-19 on Wednesday.

He was admitted to TB sanitarium hospital on June 19. After his swab test tuned out to be Covid-19 positive, he was shifted to the isolation ward at the District hospital.

On June 22, he was assisted with ventilator for breathing but after multiple organ failure, he breathed his last on Wednesday.

His cause of death is Type 2 Dm, hypertension, pulmonary Tb, with ARDS (Acute respiratory distress syndrome) along with Covid infection.
