CM orders to sack Bundu BDO

Ranchi, June 24, (HS) Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday approved the proposal to sack Bundu Block Development Officer (BDO), Lalan Kumar from service. Kumar was recently suspended from the post for violating a plantation programme under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) at Tungri.

According to a release by the Information and Public Relations Department (IPRD), Kumar is alleged to have issued the work order to voluntary organisations, for implementing a scheme before getting the duly approved order and plan code from the district administration regarding planting saplings in government land, in order to make Tungri, a green area under MGNREGA.
