One dead and four injured in the incident

Patna / Sitamarhi, June 12 (HS): Four persons were injured and one person was reported dead in firing in Sitamarhi in Bihar near the India-Nepal border. The condition of two among the injured is critical and they have been admitted in private hospitals for the treatment. Several senior officers of the district administration have rushed to the spot.

It is unclear whether the firing, was related to a strain in ties between India and Nepal over their boundary in Uttarakhand. The Nepal’s parliament recently passed a resolution, to release a revised political and administrative map of the country. The new map incorporates- Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh and Kalapani along with the villages of Gunji, Nabhi and Kati as part of Nepal.
