Stoke City Manager O’Neill tests Corona positive, Match With United Canceled
Manchester, June 10 (HS): A friendly match between Manchester United and Stoke City was canceled at the last minute after Stoke manager Michael O’Neill tested positive for Corona virus .
Stoke had already arrived at United’s training ground for the match when it was reported that their manager had been found infected with corona.
Stoke said in a statement that O’Neill had previously tested negative on five occasions.
“Stoke is confirming that manager O’Neill has been founded positive for Corona virus on Monday (June 8) following the latest round of testing,” Stoke said.
“He will now follow relevant guidance and go through a period of confinement and be in regular virtual contact with his peer staff and players,” they added.
All football activities were suspended in March due to the Coronavirus epidemic, after which the Bundesliga was resumed in May without audience. The Premier League will also restart from June 17.
More than 150000 people have been infected in England due to Corona virus and 29,000 have lost their lives .
