Heavy rush at major stations as trains resume on South central Railway
Telangana: Hyderabad: June 1(HS) Heavy rush was witnessed at Secunderabad railway station in Hyderabad following the resumption of train services from today. Passengers arrived at the railway station 90-120 minutes before the departure time as directed by the railway authorities. Telangana express (Hyderabad-New Delhi) was the first train to depart in the state from Nampally railway station in Hyderabad. It left at 6 am on Monday.
Nine pairs of trains from Telugu states were expected to operate initially from today. Huge queues were witnessed at major stations. A large number of passengers arrived at the railway station early in the morning as all passengers were advised to arrive 90-120 minutes before the departure time with tickets duly booked from IRCTC website and also counters across reservation complexes in the city. After the thermal screening, only those with a ticket were being allowed entry into the station. Every traveler was required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
In the first phase, following express trains are leaving for various destinations: Telangana exp to New Delhi, Hussain Sagar express to Mumbai , Falaknuma exp to Howrah , Godavari exp to Vishakapatnam , Rayalaseema exp to Tirupati, Danapur exp to Patna, Golconda exp to Guntur , Sachkonda to Amritsar express .
It may be recalled that a limited number of train services have been launched across the country from today.
