Kolkata: West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankad has expressed concern over the increasing rate of corona cases in the state. On Monday, he shared two tweets regarding the situation and said that the increase in the number of infections was not favourable for anyone. This was in response to the posts by Rajya Sabha member Derek O’Brian, National Spokesperson, Trinamool Congress. In his posts Derek claimed that the state had the least number of infections and a high recovery rate. Dhankad tagged him in his post saying that he needed counselling as he had become the spokesperson for Mamta Bannerjee. Dhankad said he had received information from Bengal Chief Secretary Rajiv Sinha which states that over 40,000 test cases reports were pending. He also stated that only one day back 371 cases came to light in 24 hours and in such a critical times the state should give importance to accuracy. As the country was preparing for ‘unlock’, accuracy and awareness should be the priority.
