FIFA changes the dates of the Women’s world cup.
New Delhi,18 May(HS): The world governing body FIFA said on Tuesday that the Women’s Under-20 World Cup, which was to be held in Costa Rica and Panama in August-September this year, is now being held from 20 January to 06 February 2021 due to the growing outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic.
At the same time, the Women’s Under-17 World Cup to be held in India this year, which was to be held in November this year, will now be held from 17 February to 7 March 2021.
FIFA has also decided that the age eligibility criteria for the players will remain the same despite the tournament being postponed.
