New Delhi,12 May(HS): Former South African explosive batsman AB de Villiers has praised Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and said that he is the most brilliant batsman when it comes to chasing.
He said that when Virat bats, no target can be safe. During the live chatting on Instagram, de Villiers made a comparison between Kohli and Sachin and said that Sachin Tendulkar is ideal for both of us. The achievements he has achieved are examples for us and every single youth.
Kohli himself has described Sachin as great and the new standard in cricket. However, my own personal belief is that Kohli is the most brilliant chasing target. Tendulkar was the best in every situation, but when it comes to chasing the target, in such a situation Kohli stays on top. When Virat bats, no target can be safe.
De Villiers and Kohli have been playing for the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for 9 years.
De Villiers, who retired from cricket in 2018, compared Kohli and Steve Smith and said that Kohli is a much more natural ball striker. He is like Federer. Talking about Smith, he is exactly like Nadal. Smith is mentally strong. He always figures out how to score runs. His game does not look natural, but he is capable of breaking records.
Smith is number-1 and Kohli in second place in the ICC Test rankings, while Federer has won the most 20 in tennis and Nadal has won 19 Grand Slams.
