Mukul Roy blames Mamata for Sandeshkhali violence
Alleges, she has been making provocative speeches after LS poll results
Adds, she banned rallies to prevent BJP workers from celebrating victory
Kolkata, June 09 (HS): Senior BJP leader Mukul Roy today squarely blamed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for allegedly instigating violence in West Bengal after receiving a political drubbing in the hands of BJP in Lok Sabha polls, and blamed her for yesterday’s clashes at Sandeshkhali in which several people lost their lives and many others were injured.
Levelling such serious charges against the Chief Minister on his arrival here from New Delhi today, Roy alleged that since the declaration of the Lok Sabha election results (in which BJP won 18 of the states 42 Lok Sabha seats) Mamata Banerjee had been making several provocative speeches and had banned all victory rallies to prevent BJP workers from even peacefully celebrating the party’s unprecedented victory.
In the same breadth, he also blamed TMC leader in North 24 Parganas district Sheik Sahazahan for being directly involved in yesterday’s violence at Sadeshkhali and alleged that it was under his instructions five BJP workers were killed and many injured.
The district police instead of arresting the main culprits had been trying to hide such a violent incident under the carpet and protecting the assailants, Roy said and demanded stern actions against all those  responsible for such incidents.
Meanwhile, West Bengal state BJP has decided to send two separate party delegations to Nagat and Hatgachi areas of strife torn Sandeshkhali later today.
While one delegation under the leadership of Roy would visit Nagat, the other under the leadership of state Party Chief Dilip Ghosh would visit Hatgachi to help restore peace and  brotherhood among the local people. Among other members of both the teams are Locket Chatterjee (MP), Rahul Sinha, Sayantan Basu, Arjun Singh (MP), Jagannath Sarkar, Joyprakash Mazumdar, Shantanu Thakur (MP) and Dular Bar.
