Ghana Premier Football postponed till June
Accra(Ghana),07 May(HS): The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has postponed the remaining matches of the Ghana Premier Football League 2019-20 season until June, in view of the growing threat of the Coronavirus epidemic.
In Ghana, the government has imposed a ban on crowd gathering and due to this, football activities have been postponed from 16 March till further orders in the country.
The GFA said in a statement that in the Executive Council meeting held on Tuesday, it has been decided that the status quo will remain.
It was also decided at the meeting that the union will keep an eye on the situation and review the situation once again on 30 June. Only then a decision will be taken regarding the future.
The Ghana Premier League was in its 15th week when it was postponed. At that time, the team of Aduana Stars was at the top. So far, 2,700 cases of corona have been confirmed in Ghana.
