State issues Covid-19 circular to Municipal Administration and Panchayat Raj departments
Amaravathi(Andhra Pradesh),04 April(HS): As per the instructions of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Hon’ble Chief Minister, the state control room for Covid-19, has issued circular guidelines to Municipal Administration and Panchayat Raj departments, said Thumma Vijay Kumar Reddy, Commissioner, I&PR, Ex-officio Secretary to Govt and Member, State Level Taskforce Committee for CORONA control.
Reddy informed that as per the Circular, Municipal Commissioners and Village Secretaries shall ensure to paint markings to maintain physical distance in front of shops, raithu bazaars, vegetable markets and shops of non-vegetarian items. Wherever it is not viable for permanent marking with the paint, the markings can be re-done with lime powder, he added.
It is instructed to ensure keeping proper size board with a proper font size to display of rates of essential commodities in front of every shop, he said. The prices should be legible and easily readable by the people, he added.
Reddy further informed that through the Circular, the Commissioner & Director Municipal Administration and the Commissioner Panchayath Raj & Rural Development are requested to ensure the implementation of above directions and give a report on action taken, in order to brief Hon’ble CM during the meeting scheduled on 3rd April 2020.
The Commissioner & Director Municipal Administration and the Commissioner Panchayath Raj & Rural Development are requested to communicate the Circular to Municipal Commissioners, Village/ Ward secretaries respectively, Reddy added.
