London, 25 March(HS): Former England captain Nasir Hussain has said that due to coronavirus, people have more important things to worry about than the game. The Olympic Games have also been postponed for a year due to the disease. Cricket world has also been affected due to this. There is no cricket activity happening at this time.
Hussain said in a conversation with a newspaper, “If we look at things in a big way, at this time sports have become irrelevant and there are many more important things. But, the game plays a big role in many people’s lives and we will be back soon.”
The former England captain, when asked if playing in the future could be an option without the audience, said that if we are giving the spectator something to watch then it is fine, but it should be only when it is absolutely safe because Only one player will have this virus and then things will be closed again.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has closed all its professional cricket activities until May 28, while the Coronavirus has killed more than 18,000 people around the world so far.
