Due to Corona’s impact people stopped protest in Chennai

New Delhi, Mar 18 (HS): Coronavirus cases are increasing rapidly across the country. This has the effect that there are situations like virtual lockdown in the country from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Due to Corona, the ongoing protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Citizenship Register (NRC) in Chennai has now been abandoned.

On the lines of Shaheen Bagh of Delhi, there was a protest against the CAA, NRC, and NPR for the past several days in Chennai. The protest has been stopped on Wednesday on the appeal of Muslim leaders regarding the threat of Coronavirus. The protesters said that we are currently suspending the protest.
