First case of coronavirus reported in the Indian Army, the army sent on leave
New Delhi, Mar 18(HS): The first case of coronavirus has been reported in the Indian Army. The 34-years-old Indian Army man has been sent on leave till March 22 and has been kept in the isolation center. Later the soldier”s father was found positive, soldier father returned from Iran on 27 February. He was then quarantined at the Ladakh Heart Foundation from 29 February.
During this time, the young man was helping his family. He also stayed in his village for some time. His father was confirmed to be positive with the Coronavirus on 6 March. He was then placed in isolation at SNM Hospital.
The soldier was then quarantined on 7 March and was found infected with the coronavirus on 16 March. After this, he too was kept in isolation in the same hospital. His sister, wife and two children have also been quarantined at the SNM Heart Foundation.
