Coronavirus outbreak: Delhi government banned all sports activities, including IPL
New Delhi, March 13 (HS): The Delhi government has banned all sports activities in Delhi due to the outbreak of Coronavirus till further orders.
The Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia said that the gathering of large masses increases the risk of Coronavirus, due to which all sports have been banned in Delhi till further orders.
Issuing a statement here on Friday, Manish Sisodia said that a large gathering of people needs to stay away from such sporting events. All sports are banned and the Indian Premier League (IPL) is also included.
So far more than 70 cases of Coronavirus have been reported in India and recently a man has also died from it.
More than one and a half million people are suffering from Coronavirus worldwide and more than four thousand people have lost their lives due to this epidemic.
