Security forces guns down two militants in encounter
New Delhi, March 9 (HS): The security forces in J&K on Monday gunned down two militants in an encounter that took place in Shopian district.
After getting specific tip-off about the presence of militants in the area, the security forces cordoned off the Reban area of the south Kashmir district on Monday morning and launched a search operation there.
Seeing the forces combing the area, the militants opened fire at security forces. In retaliation, the security forces also opened fire at them and killed two militants. No civilian has been injured in the encounter, police said.
