2 laborers killed, 2 others injured in blast inside army camp
Udhampur, March 9 (H.S): Two laborers were killed and as many were injured in a blast inside an army camp at Khundroo area of Achabal in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday.
According to the police report the five laborers were working inside the army’s 21 FAD camp when the blast took place.
In the blast, two laborers sustained serious splinter injuries and two others suffered minor injuries. All the injured were immediately evacuated to nearby MI room where two critically wounded namely Gulzar Ahmad Khan and Fayaz Ahmad Bhat succumbed to their injuries.
After being operated upon, the doctors at MI room referred the other two injured to Govt Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for specialized treatment, they said.
A doctor at GMC said that they have received only two injured persons so far. The injured have been identified as Fida Hussain son of Syed Mohd of Gopalpora and Shabir Ahmad son of Mohd Anwar Khan of Gopalpora. Anantnag police registered the case and further investigation is on.
