GST Outreach Programme held in Hyderabad
Telangana/Hyderabad, February 29 (HS): As per the directions of Finance Minister given during the post-Budget 2020, interactions with the trade and industry were held in Hyderabad, yesterday evening.
The programme was captioned as “ZillaZilla Lo Kendra GST meeVaddaku” and “Central GST in Every District for You” are being organized across all districts of Telangana. An interactive session was held at Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Ramanaidu Building, Jubliee Hills, Hyderabad, to clarify various issues related to provisions of Goods and Service Tax Acts and Procedures.
The interactive session was attended by a large number of stakeholders and representatives. Dr. D. Purushotham, Principal Commissioner, Hyderabad GST Commissionerate and his team of officers gave presentations on various topics including ‘New Returns system’ and ‘E-invoicing’.
At the end of the presentation, trade and tax payers were invited to freely ask their doubts and express any practical difficulties, if any, being faced faced or envisaged by them. The doubts expressed and questions posed were answered by the officers present under the guidance of Dr. D. Purushotham, Principal Commissioner. Speaking at the session, Dr. D. Purushotham, Principal Commissioner, and B. Raghu Kiran, Joint Commissioner said that it was an opportunity to directly interact with the GST officers and urged all the tax payers to get clarifications on the various issues if being faced by them. He said that it was the third interactive session among the seven workshops planned in Hyderabad District.
Afternoon session was attended mainly by film fraternity and by various Producers, Distributors and Exhibitors and various issues raised by them were addressed in a live interactive session.
The Chamber informed that they would submit a detailed representation to the Department seeking various policy interventions to be escalated to the Ministry.
