New Delhi, Feb 26 (HS): The ruckus that started on the streets of Delhi in the name of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) has not stopped yet. In the last three days, there has been violence in many areas of Delhi, in which 20 people have lost their lives so far. The violent protests took place in Gokulpuri area of ​​Delhi on Wednesday morning as well as some miscreants set fire to a shop here.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “I have been in touch with large no of people whole night. The situation is alarming. Police, despite all its efforts, unable to control the situation and instill confidence. Army should be called in and curfew imposed in the rest of the affected areas immediately. I am writing to Hon’ble HM to this effect.”

A shop in the scrap market was set on fire in the Gokulpuri area of ​​Delhi on Wednesday morning. Eyewitnesses said that some people came here and fled by after setting the fire. The miscreants set fire to shop number 15 of the scrap market.

The family of Police Head Constable Ratanlal, who was martyred during the violence in Delhi has sat on a dharna. The family demands that Ratanlal be given martyr status. Ratanlal was killed during the violence in Bhajanpura, Delhi, he was a resident of Sikar in Rajasthan. On Wednesday, his family blocked the road leading to the ancestral village.

Several metro stations were closed on Tuesday as a precaution, but on Wednesday morning all the stations were opened. Due to violence in Delhi, CBSE has canceled the 10th and 12th examinations to be held on Wednesday.
