Trump India visit: US President Trump gives positive signals, may have a trade deal with India
Washington, Feb 13 (HS): US President Donald Trump has given positive signals about the trade deal just before his first visit to India. He said that if it suits him, he will make a trade deal with India.
” Trump told the media at his Oval Office in the White House, “I am thrilled about my first visit to India this month. They (India) want to do something and we will see if we can do a fair deal or not. We will do it. ‘
US President Trump will be visiting India on February 24-25. He is coming to India at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Trump informed the media about his visit on Tuesday.
India wants reinstatement of the huge tax levied by the US on some steel and Aluminum products, as well as a profit on tariffs on some products under the Generalised System of Preference (GSP). India is pressurizing the US to facilitate greater market access for its products in areas such as agriculture, automobiles, autos and engineering.
