Another attack after Suleimani’s death, rockets fired near US Embassy in Baghdad.
Baghdad, Jan 21 (HS): Rockets have been fired at the US embassy in the Iraqi capital’s high-security green zone. According to security sources, this attack has been carried out by firing three rockets near the US Embassy in Baghdad.
As of now, there is no information on casualties. At the same time soon after the rocket was fired, the alarms of the rocket attack began to warn citizens in the entire area.
Sources said that Katyusha rockets were dropped in the Green Zone of Baghdad on Tuesday. Sources said that the rockets were launched from the Zafarniyah district outside Baghdad.
In the new year, many instances of attacks in the Green Zone have been revealed. Since the death of Iranian General Qasim Sulemani, Iran is constantly seeking revenge from America. Earlier on January 4, the US Embassy was attacked. Thereafter rockets were fired at the American hideout on 6 January.
On 8 January, dozens of ballistic missiles were fired at two military bases in Al-Assad and Irbil. After this, the airbase was attacked on 13 January. At the same time, on 15 January, the Iraqi airbase was attacked once by rockets. The US has blamed Iran-backed paramilitary groups for similar attacks on the green-zone in recent times.
