Mumbai man arrested for ringing doorbells at odd hours.
Mumbai/New Delhi, Jan 17 (HS): In a bizarre incident, a 37-year-old man has been arrested by the Mumbai police for ringing doorbells of residential apartments at odd hours and then fleeing from the spot. The accused arrested has been identified as Prem Lalsingh Nepali, a resident of Mumbai’s Chembur area.
The man was arrested after he rang the doorbell of a jeweler’s house in Kanjurmarg at 2 am on Sunday. He tried to sped away from the scene but was caught by the residents of the building, police said. According to the police, Nepali rang the doorbell and was caught when he tried to flee from there. Following which the local residents of the building called the police and handed over the accused to them.
On questioning, he confessed before the police that he committed the offense under the influence of alcohol.
This was not the first time he committed a similar offense. Many other residents came up with similar complaints. In fact, a complaint was also filed against him in September 2018.
