Night Curfew imposed in Bhainsaa : Internet suspended.
Hyderabad (Telangana), Jan 14 (HS): Following communal clashes in Nirmal district Bhainsaa Sunday night the police rushed re-inforcements from neighboring districts to bring the situation to normalcy. Internet services have been suspended indefinitely and prohibitory orders imposed under Section 144 of CrPC till January 15 in Bhainsa town of Telangana’s Nirmal district. Following violent clashes in the town on Monday, police imposed night curfew to prevent untoward incidents.
According to the Telangana police, violent clashes resulted in 13 houses, one car and 26 vehicles being set on fire and FIRs are being registered in the police stations and CCTV footage are being examined by the police.
The heavy police force was deployed in the town and patrolling was being done and the situation being monitored, said a senior police officer. Hindusthan Samachar reporter informs that the clash broke out as some people were questioned by members of another community while they were moving around removing silencers from their bikes to invite attention that resulted in disturbing their deep sleep. Some bikers were thrashed before the police arrived and this invited retaliation by other communities that reached in large numbers and attacked houses and setting vehicles on fire parked in the streets.
Police claim that some of the rioters allegedly cut water pipes of the fire engines that were engaged in extinguishing the flames and injured policemen. Some residents have also claimed that their houses were also looted by the mob. District Collector Prashanti visited the riot prone areas and assured that those involved in the clashes were being identified and legal action will be initiated against those responsible for the violence.
BJP State president Dr. Lakshman has claimed that the riots were pre-planned by the goons of MIM and demanded nabbing of culprits soon. Another delegation of BJP met the State Election commissioner Mr. Nagi Reddy and demanded postponement of municipal elections because the free and fair elections cannot be held under these circumstances.
