New Delhi ,Jan 11(HS): Army Chief Manoj Mukund Naravane said at a press conference today that PoK can become a part of India. However, he clarified that the decision has to be taken by the central government.He explained that work is going on at various levels to improve the infrastructure of the army. On the question of the challenges of Pakistan and China, the Army Chief said that we are ready to deal with any situation.

In his first press conference, giving a confident message, he said that security is our priority, there is no compromise with security.Army Chief said that the formation of CDS is an important step, the formation of CDS will strengthen the army. He said that coordination between the three armies is necessary, we will do planning keeping in mind the future challenges and threats and the budget will be used on a priority basis.

On the killing of two unarmed civilians by the Pakistan Army in Poonch sector, Narwane said, “We do not resort to such barbaric activities and fight as a very professional army.” We will deal with such situations in a proper military manner.

On the need to balance the army along the Pakistan and China border, Narwane said, “There is a need for balance as both northern and western borders need equal attention.”
