Vaikunta Ekadasi Tomarrow :Tirumala ready for large influx of pilgrims
Andhra Pradesh (Tirumala), 5 January 2020: Vaikuntha Ekadashi is one of the major festivals celebrated in the temples of Lord Vishnu, especially in South India. Apart from being an Ekadashi, this day also commemorates the attainment of Vaikuntha, the spiritual kingdom of Lord Vishnu by Nammalwar, a great devotee in the Sri Vaishnava sampradaya.In most of the Vishnu temples, a special entrance called Vaikuntha Dwara is erected on this day. It is said that those who pass through this dwara on this auspicious day attain Vaikuntha. Tirumala Balaji is ready to accomodate close to one lakh devotees on this auspicious day.
Top priority is given for facilitating darshan to the common devotees during Vaikunta Ekadasi and Dwadasi days celebrations in Tirumala by TTD, said Honourable Endowments Minister.
After inspecting the arrangements made for V-day at VQC-2, in the sheds of Narayanagiri Gardens, Mada street galleries and Kalyana Vedika, the state minister for Endowments said he was immensely impressed to that TTD had made all arrangements with rain proof shelters and toilets to facilitate devotees smooth darshan in spite of inclement weather conditions.He said once the Vaikunta dwaram is opened up, VIP pass holders would be quickly given Darshan and more time for darshan will be provided for common devotees.
Congratulating the TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal and Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy for their stellar efforts in arrangements for Vaikuntha Ekadasi Dwara Darshan, the minister appealed to devotees to beget comfortable Vaikunta dwaram Darshan. He later interacted with the pilgrims who expressed their satisfaction over the arrangements.
