PM chides Congress and its Allies over Pakistan’s atrocities on minorities

Bengaluru,02 January(HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today lashed out at Congress and other opposition parties over non-committal attitude towards the atrocities of Pakistan on the minority Hindus, Christians, Sikhs and Jains in that country.

Many people belonging to these faiths in Pakistan approached Government of India seeking asylum. In spite of Pakistan committing grave crimes on the minorities living there Congress and friendly parties prefer to remain dumb, blasted the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister was addressing a public meeting at the Siddaganga Mutt premises after paying obeisance to the samadhi of Dr Shivakumar Swamiji renowned as “Walking God” during his lifetime.
He also laid foundation stone for the proposed Museum in memory of the late revered Swamiji who passed away on 21 January last year at the ripe age of 111 years. The PM also planted a sapling to commemorate his visit to the Mutt.
Lambasting all those opposing the Citizens Amendment Act(CAA) on the streets he called upon the opponents of CAA Act : Even if at all you wish to oppose the CAA why are you not talking about what all has taken place in Pakistan?
The true colors of Pakistan have come to light in all possible international fora but you have started campaigning in favor of that neighbouring country which has origins based on religion. Why are you spreading a feeling of hatred and ill will among the people. The people are closely observing this attitude, charged the prime minister.
Rs 12,000 crores to Eight crore farmers
The Prime Minister later unveiled several peasant friendly measures at a farmers convention
at the Government Junior College grounds at Tumakuru after handing over the “Krishi Samman” and “Krishi Karman” awards to progressive farmers.
In the same huge farmers rally the Prime Minister also released the third instalment of financial aid to the peasant community to the extent of Rs 12,000 crores to Eight crore farmers.
The PM also dwelt upon in a lengthy way to highlight the efforts of his government in solving the hardships faced by the farmers and wished,thanks to multifold measures undertaken by the government the woes of the tillers will be soon taken care of.
