We won’t let India to be an Inn: Dharmendra Pradhan
New Delhi, Dec 29 (HS): Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today said that only those who were ready to say “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” should be allowed to live in India. He also said that the BJP would not allow this country to be Inn.
“Do we want to make this country to be an inn,” asked Pradhan while addressing 54th state conference of the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of the RSS here today.
His assertion came amidst the continued protests being carried out countrywide against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and proposed National Register of Citizens (NRC).
Pradhan said that the country was passing through very cruicial period. “A very important issue is whether the country’s citizenship would be counted or not,” said Pradhan adding, “would the sacrifice made by big leaders like Udham Singh’s, Bhagat Singh’s, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s would go in vain?”
He also said, “would this country discuss whether we should count our citizens or not? Should anyone who comes to this country be allowed to live here? Do you want to make this country Inn. We have to face this challenge.”
He said that most countries in the world had a provision for registering their citizens. Pradhan said that ABVP like organisations should come forward to work towards finding a solution to the unemployment issue amidst growing automation in the industry.
While addressing the ABVP students he said that he was associated with the organisation since 1983 and his biggest achievement was being the national secretary of it.
