New Delhi, Dec 28 (HS): After a break of nine consecutive days, the price of petrol has increased once again. Oil marketing companies on Saturday increased the price of diesel by 17 paise in Delhi, Kolkata and while 18 paise per liter in Mumbai and Chennai.
In Chennai the petrol price rises by 6 paise per liter. After this increase, petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai have increased to Rs 74.68, Rs 77.34, Rs 80.34 and Rs 77.64 per liter respectively. After this increase, diesel prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai have been increased to Rs 67.41, Rs 69.83, Rs 70.73 and Rs 71.27 per liter respectively.
At the same time, after two days increase in the price of petrol, stability was recorded. According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai remained unchanged at Rs 74.74, Rs 77.40, Rs 80.40 and Rs 77.70 per liter respectively. On Friday, petrol became expensive by 6 paise per liter in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai.
This month, the price of benchmark crude Brent crude has increased by about $ 8 per barrel. Brent crude prices are at an upper level for more than three months.
