Dispur, Dec 20 (HS): Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that some people were spreading misinformation and fake news in the State. These people are enemies of society. He said that the Assamese language would be preserved as a state language forever and the government would do it. CM said that the honor of Assam would not be affected in any way. “We will always be in support of the people and will move forward with peace in the state,” said Sonowal.

Meanwhile, mobile internet services have been resumed in Assam which was shut down due to violent demonstrations and spreading rumors among the people of the state. “There is anger among the people of Assam about the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and NRC. Many people of Assam have already suffered due to NRC. After this, people got angry over the CAA. In the past, violent demonstrations were seen in many parts of Assam,” said the CM.
