New Delhi/Bangaluru, Dec 19 (HS): Citing the nationwide protests planned by various political and Muslim groups against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), the Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa today appealed the people to maintain peace and harmony and also tried to allay fears among the Muslim community regarding the law.
Yediyurappa said that his government would hundred per cent implement the Citizenship Amendment Act in the State. “I appeal to the minority Muslim community that the CAA law will in no way affect them. It is our responsibility to protect their interest. Kindly cooperate and maintain peace and order,” the chief minister said.
