Taliban abducts 45 people from govt worker’s funeral
Kabul, Dec 11 (HS): The Taliban kidnapped 45 families who attended the funeral of a late Afghan government employee. Officials gave this information. But the Taliban has not made any immediate comment on the abduction.
According to Home Ministry spokesman Nasrat Rahimi, the Taliban kidnapped the dead body of the employee by separating the elders from the people taking them to the graveyard. They told that they did not take the youth along.
According to P. Khurram, the head of the intelligence department of Jozhazan province, the Taliban has warned people many times not to attend the funeral of the employees working with the Afghan government.
Khurram objected to the reported number of abducted people. He said that only six families have been kidnapped and other people are talking to the Taliban to get them released.
