Protest Against Citizenship Bill: Internet, SMS services shut down in Tripura
Dispur / Agartala ,Dec 11 (HS): North East Boils over Citizenship Bill, protesting against Citizenship Amendment Bill in Assam and Tripura . Tripura Government has snapped the Internet services in the state for 48 hours.
Today the Congress party will protest against the Bharatiya Janata Party in the capital Delhi. Congress workers will oppose the Citizenship Amendment bill against BJP headquarters. The Congress alleges that this bill is against the constitution and to create an atmosphere against minorities.
On Tuesday, several student organizations called a shut down in protest against the citizenship amendment bill, which affected normal life. Along with this, the protesters had also clashed with the security forces, after which the train service was affected.
The government of Tripura took a big step on Tuesday to avoid rumors. In the state, mobile internet, SMS service has been banned for 48 hours. On Tuesday, it was reported that some rumor was being spread in the tribal areas of the state, due to which the police is now on alert.
