Modi government to build more than 3 lakh houses

New Delhi, Nov 29 (HS): Under the “Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban)”, the Modi government of the Center has approved the construction of more than 3 lakh houses. According to sources, approval has been given for the construction of 3,31,075 houses in the meeting of the Central Clearance and Monitoring Committee (CSMC) under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). There is a plan to invest Rs 15,125 crore in it. Lakhs of people are expected to get the benefit of this decision of the Modi government.

After this approval of the government, 2,58,648 houses will be built in Andhra Pradesh. At the same time, 30,777 houses will be built in Karnataka and 15,245 houses in Madhya Pradesh. Apart from this, the proposal to build 13,805 houses in Gujarat, 4,691 in Maharashtra and 1,541 in Uttarakhand has been approved.

Andhra Pradesh (16,34,748) has become the largest state in terms of the number of new houses under the housing scheme. In Uttar Pradesh, there are 14,53,989 houses under the scheme. The government started the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the year 2015. The objective of this scheme is to fulfill the dream of the home of financially weak people. The scheme is divided into urban and rural areas.

The benefit of Pradhan Mantri, Awas Yojana is given only to those people who become homeowners for the first time.
