After SC decision, I resigned but still with NCP: Ajit Pawar
Mumbai, Nov 27 (HS): The NCP leader and former deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar today came before the media first time after resigning as Maharashtra Dy. CM., after taking oath as MLA today said that he was in Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and would always be there.
Pawar said that his role in the new government would be decided by the party. He also said that he resigned from the post of Deputy CM after decision of the Supreme Court. “After this I spoke to my party leaders and am still with NCP”, said Ajit Pawar. He also said that he has not been expelled from the party and have no such information.
Earlier, Ajit Pawar reached the swearing-in ceremony in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and shocked everyone when his cousin Supriya Sule welcomed him there.
Supriya also welcomed former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, former speaker and senior BJP leader Haribhau Badge and other leaders with folded hands.
Uddhav Thackeray has been unanimously elected as the leader of Maha Vikas Aghadi for the post of Chief Minister on behalf of senior leaders of Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress.
