New Delhi, Oct.24 (HS): “The Narendra Modi led the central government’s approval of the proposal to grant ownership rights to people living in as many as 1797 unauthorized colonies in Delhi is a welcome move and pro-people”, said Dr Birbal Jha, noted author and chairman of Mithilalok Foundation working on migrants in Delhi.
“This move of far-reaching impacts will benefit more than 40 lacs of the population in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. Most of the migrants with a major chunk of Purvanchali populace exist in such social settings and settlements” added Dr Jha, popularly known as Paagman.
Elated Dr Jha further said, “a sense of insecurity and fear psychosis of Damocles’ sword hanging over their habitations will turn into their housing security and immunity.” Calling it BJP’s master stroke pre-Delhi 2010 assembly election, Dr Jha took for granted that centre’s political masterstroke would certainly woo the sizable chunk of voters living in such colonies.
