Assam transfers ACS officer Trishna Sarma to Dhekiajuli, highlights her field record
The Assam government has transferred ACS officer Trishna Sarma to Sonitpur district. Officials issued the order in February 2026. She will now serve as Assistant Commissioner of Dhekiajuli Co-District. Earlier, she worked as Assistant Commissioner in Dalgaon Co-District under Darrang district.
Trishna Sarma belongs to the Assam Civil Service batch of 2021 through direct recruitment. Since joining service, she has handled key field responsibilities. In Dalgaon, she supervised revenue administration and monitored implementation of welfare schemes. She also coordinated closely with local departments to address public grievances. As a result, residents saw faster processing of land-related applications and certificates.
Moreover, Sarma took active steps to streamline office procedures. She encouraged digital record updates to reduce delays in revenue cases. She also reviewed pending files on a regular basis. Consequently, disposal rates improved during her tenure. Local officials credit her for maintaining strict timelines in service delivery.
In addition, she focused on development outreach. She visited villages to review progress of government schemes. She interacted directly with beneficiaries and frontline workers. Therefore, departments received real-time feedback from the ground. Her approach strengthened coordination between block offices and district authorities.
Dalgaon often faces administrative challenges linked to population growth and infrastructure demands. Despite these pressures, Sarma maintained close monitoring of law and order coordination meetings. She supported disaster preparedness efforts during the monsoon season. Her office responded quickly to local complaints and emergency situations.
Now, she moves to Dhekiajuli Co-District in Sonitpur. The region requires careful handling of revenue matters and development projects. The government expects her to continue her proactive approach. With her field experience and administrative focus, she steps into this new role with a strong track record.
