Updated…A person sets on fire at a studio in Kyoto,13 killed
Tokyo, July 18 (HS): A person sprayed fluid and set fire to animation studios in the city of Kyoto. Due to this 13 people died and 40 people were injured and some people became unconscious.
Many bodies were recovered from the second floor of the Kyoto Animation studio’s, a three-storey building. According to local time the fire took place at 10.30 am. The police have also recovered knives from the spot. This company is known for its popular animation series.
Police said that the 40-year-old man who had set on fire was involved in the injured and he was also admitted to the hospital.
The company, founded in 1981, has released a number of animations appealing to younger generations, particularly in the 2000s. Many fans have visited locations associated with the works.
