International Court of Justice to deliver verdict in Kulbhushan Jadhav case tomorrow
New Delhi, July.16(HS): The International Court of Justice (ICJ) will deliver its verdict in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case tomorrow (on July. 17, Wednesday). According to Indian time this decision will be pronounced at 6:30 in the evening.
As per a notification issued by the ICJ on Thursday, the principal judicial organ of the United Nationals, will deliver, on Wednesday 17 July 2019, its Judgment in the Jadhav case.
Kulbhushan Jadhav, a former Indian Navy officer who was locked in a prison in Pakistan. Pakistan military court has given Jadhav the death sentence. Jadhav is a Retired Indian Navy Officer. He was sentenced to death in April 2017 on charges of espionage and terrorism by Pakistan’s military court.
Pakistan said that the Indian Navy officer was a “spy” and not a businessman. Pakistan claims that its security forces arrested Jadhav from restive Balochistan province on March 3, 2016 after he reportedly entered from Iran.
India said that Kulbhushan Jadhav was kidnapped from Iran where he had business interests after retiring from the Navy. Pakistan had rejected India’s plea for consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav at the ICJ, claiming that New Delhi wants to get the information gathered by its “spy”.
