Ranjan Verma, one of Bihar’s top matriculation scorers in 2025, proved that determination beats hardship. The results, announced on March 29, placed him at the top with 489 marks, along with two others. His twin brother, Ranjeet, secured 477 marks, ranking seventh in Bhojpur district.

Both brothers study at Agiaon Bazar High School. Every day, Ranjan cycles 12 km to attend coaching and school. He dedicates 8 to 10 hours to studying, extending his sessions until he fully grasps concepts.

Their father, Shiv Shankar Singh, a farmer, passed away from a brain hemorrhage a few years ago. Despite this tragedy, the twins remained focused on their studies. Their mother, Sheela Devi, and uncle supported them through hardships.

Ranjan dreams of becoming an IAS officer to serve society. Sheela Devi believes Ranjeet’s lower marks may have resulted from his handwriting.

Leaders like JD-U’s State General Secretary Manoj Upadhyay and Piro Nagar Parishad Chairman Kiran Upadhyay visited the twins to congratulate them on their success.
