Mayawati slams Rahul: Calls Congress BJP’s B-team in Delhi Polls

BSP chief Mayawati hit back at Rahul Gandhi on Friday for questioning her party’s political stance. She accused Congress of acting as BJP’s B-team in the Delhi elections, helping BJP secure power.
Mayawati stated on X, “Congress performed so poorly that most of its candidates lost their deposits. Rahul Gandhi should introspect before pointing fingers at others, especially at BSP.”
Rahul Gandhi, while speaking to Dalit students in Raebareli, expressed disappointment over Mayawati’s refusal to ally with Congress against BJP. He claimed a united opposition could have prevented BJP’s victory.
Mayawati responded on Thursday, accusing Congress of hypocrisy. She said Congress leaders exhibit casteist bias in states where they hold power but talk about alliances in states where they are weak, like Uttar Pradesh.
BSP workers protested in Raebareli, putting up posters accusing Rahul Gandhi of double standards. The posters criticized him for claiming to support Dalits while allowing his party to undermine Mayawati’s leadership.
The controversy highlights the widening rift between BSP and Congress, with both parties blaming each other for BJP’s dominance.
