“‘Beware!’: Kash Patel issues stark warning after taking over as FBI Chief
Kash Patel became the new FBI director on Thursday after Senate confirmation. He thanked President Donald Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi for their support. He vowed to restore public trust in the agency.
Patel shared his commitment on X. “I am honored to be the ninth Director of the FBI. Thank you to President Trump and Attorney General Bondi for your unwavering confidence.”
He promised to make the FBI transparent, accountable, and focused on justice. “The FBI has a storied legacy, from the ‘G-Men’ to safeguarding our nation post-9/11. The politicization of our justice system has eroded trust. That ends today,” Patel stated.
He pledged to rebuild the FBI into an agency Americans can trust. “We will work tirelessly with our dedicated agents and partners. To those who seek to harm Americans—consider this your warning. We will hunt you down anywhere. Mission First. America Always. Let’s get to work.”
Patel, a Trump ally, faced opposition from Republican Senators Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins. However, he gained support from Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and most Republicans. The Senate confirmed him with a narrow 51-49 vote, with all Democrats opposing his nomination.
