A video of Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) constable Reena has gone viral after she was seen performing her duties while carrying her one-year-old baby at New Delhi Railway Station. The video, posted on the RPF’s official X account, shows Reena managing a crowded platform with a baton in one hand and her baby sleeping on her chest. The post highlighted her dual role as a mother and a dedicated officer.

In the video, Reena wears a baby carrier, with her baby peacefully nestled in it while she performs her duties. Dressed in her uniform, she remains vigilant, ensuring the safety of passengers while keeping her baby close. The agency’s post reads, “She serves, she nurtures, she does it all… A mother, a warrior, standing tall…”. It’s a powerful image of balance, showing how Reena manages the delicate line between duty and motherhood.

Reena, originally on leave, returned to duty after a stampede at New Delhi Railway Station, which tragically claimed 18 lives. Her prompt return showcases her dedication to the job despite her personal challenges.

Reena’s husband, a CRPF constable stationed in Jammu and Kashmir, cannot help with childcare. Tragically, her in-laws have passed away. Without alternative childcare, she takes her child to work. In an interview, she explained, “It’s a normal routine for me. I just make sure the baby doesn’t get hurt.” She is currently looking for a caregiver but continues to manage her responsibilities on her own in the meantime.

While on duty, Reena ensures she’s fully prepared to care for her baby. She brings homemade dalia porridge, blankets, nappies, and milk. Even with the challenges she faces, Reena’s commitment to both her profession and her child remains unwavering.
