A powerful bomb blast killed 11 people and injured four workers in Pakistan’s Balochistan province this morning. The explosion struck Shahrag in Harnai district, an area known for coal mining. Officials suspect militants targeted a vehicle carrying coal miners.

Deputy Commissioner Hazrat Wali Kakar confirmed that attackers threw a bomb at the moving vehicle. Nine miners died instantly, while two others succumbed to injuries later. Emergency teams rushed the injured to the hospital, and some in critical condition are being transferred to Quetta.

Security forces quickly sealed off the area and launched an investigation. Balochistan has faced frequent attacks, with Pakistan blaming Afghan militants for fueling unrest. The province, bordering Afghanistan, remains a hotspot for violence and insurgency.

The Balochistan government condemned the attack and ordered a thorough probe. Officials have promised strict action against those responsible. Despite past incidents, security remains a major concern in the coal-rich Shahrag region.

Rescue efforts continue, and authorities remain on high alert. Families of the victims demand justice, while officials assure swift measures to prevent future attacks.
